This Georgian home is located in a countryside village of Suffolk, making it the ideal spot for relaxing breaks in nature. If you’re staying in the main bedroom, why not begin your days by peering out of the sash windows at the incredible views across the village green? Then, enjoy a coffee from the Delonghi espresso machine and take it outside to the bistro table in the small courtyard, enjoying the aroma of lavender in the air. Wander the village of Long Melford, visiting the National Trust’s Melford Hall – roughly four minutes away on foot, and the Melford War Memorial – a one-minute walk away. Don’t forget to fill up the picnic basket and grab the blanket before you head out, so you can enjoy alfresco lunches in the beautiful countryside. In the evening, dine together around the table or on milder nights, fire up the Weber barbecue and dine alfresco on the elevated front terrace, bordered by lavender, and gaze out towards Melford Hall. Then, unwind in the roll-top, claw-foot bathtub before snuggling up on the sofa in front of the wood-burning fire with your four-legged friend curled up by your feet.

About Hadleigh
This ancient market town is nestled in Constable Country – a beautiful area of Suffolk that inspired the 18th-century artist’s most famous works. Hadleigh itself is packed full of character, with historic buildings and independent shops aplenty. Sandwiched between Sudbury and Ipswich, it may not be as well-known as its more prominent neighbours, but with its mixed architecture and picturesque valley setting, this quieter area still has lots to offer....
