Marylebone isn't just a neighbourhood that causes even seasoned Londoners some difficulty when it comes to pronunciation — it's also a great location from which to explore the best parts of the city and you can also find some superb homes here. This apartment is one of them. We'll start with the terrace, which, while on the smaller side, has been styled as a peaceful enclave complete with vegetation and a stone fountain. The chequerboard tiling underfoot is striking, especially the way in which it continues in through the curved glass door and snaked into the modern grey kitchen. The rest of the living quarters are, by comparison, a little more traditional in style, with white walls, vintage furnishings and wooden floors covered in rugs making for a homely atmosphere. After a long day exploring the city's streets, the gas fireplace is a lovely place to hunker down beside, although the bathtub is an equally inviting option. As mentioned, the local area offers plenty of ways to fill up your days. Regent's Park takes ten minutes to reach on foot and Hyde Park a quarter of an hour. The Wallace Collection — twelve minutes away on foot — is one of London's most... underrated galleries, too.
