Located on the edge of the main square, you're going to struggle to find a more central home than this renovated townhouse in Shrewsbury. Step out your front door and you're surrounded by restaurants, shops and a cinema in a Grade-I listed Elizabethan building. Rather impressively for an address with such a prime position, this home is huge and can quite easily accommodate large groups. The building is split into three separate apartments on each floor, which adds a welcome degree of privacy for families travelling together. The design throughout is fresh and contemporary, with discernible mid-century influences visible in the furnishings. That being said, a few period features have been retained in the interior's modernisation, including embellishments on the ceiling, large sash windows and opulent fireplaces — sadly only ornamental, but still pretty nonetheless. When it comes to seeing a little more of the historic market town, Shrewsbury Castle is seven minutes' walk in one direction and the riverside parkland in The Quarry is five minutes by foot the opposite way. The surrounding county is full of unspoilt countryside and you can drive over to the Shropshire Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in just under twenty minutes, too.
