Enchanted as it may look, the floral-adorned awning responsible for the shaded terrace isn’t in any way other-worldly, but will it inspire magical memories? Almost definitely. Spend days forgetting about the time, grazing on antipasto, and drinking regional wines as you simply indulge in the tranquillity of the space in the company of great friends and family. Breathe in the floral scent as you lounge around on the garden furniture with a good book – you can even sneak out here with the last cannelloni and a cup of coffee to admire the rolling green hills and olive groves beyond – or explore all the nooks and crannies inside until you find your favourite spot. We vote for whichever seat happens to be closest to the fireplace. The historic cobblestone streets of Lucca lie only a fourteen-minute drive away and this Tuscan favourite is well worth a visit, even if only to gaze up at the Renaissance walls encircling the city centre. Grab a bite to eat, stroll the tops of the 17th-century ramparts or visit the house museum of the late opera composer, Casa di Puccini. Even though part of this historic farmhouse’s charm lies in the fact that it’s... surrounded by green, there is also a bit of blue to be found thirty-seven minutes away where you can stroll the beach at Spiaggia della Lecciona.
