There's a lot to love about this dreamy apartment in the heart of Venice. With plenty of character, an excellent location, and a wonderful outdoor space, it's the perfect place to unwind between your adventures in the Floating City. The flat is part of a building dating back to the 16th century, and a lot of its historic charm remains. The antique furniture and wooden beams will make you feel right at home, and the serene bedrooms will help you have a great night's sleep. However, the best bit has to be the garden – a space like this is such a treat in the city centre, This leafy sanctuary is the perfect place to sip your morning espresso or relax with a glass of prosecco at the end of a busy day exploring. From here, you can walk to the Santa Maria Gloriosa dei Frari in around five minutes – it's one of Venice's most renowned churches. You can also hop on a water bus at the nearby vaporetto stop, San Toma, to see the city from the canals. And, you can walk over to the famous St Mark's Square and the neighbouring Doge's Palace in around twenty-five minutes.

Local guide
About Rialto
Rialto is right in the middle of Venice’s other main districts – it doesn't really get more central than this. It’s a favourite with tourists, particularly as its less hectic than San Marco (this is all relative though – everywhere in Venice is packed). It’s intersected by many small intertwining canals, which make for good views and plenty of opportunity for gondola rides, if that's your cup of tea. Perhaps...

Sip on a Spritz at Bacareto da Lele
Bacareto da Lele is a typical Venice bar with a relaxed vibe where you can join locals from the university enjoying a snack and a drink.
Explore Scuola Grande di San Rocco
The 'scuolas' of Venice were cultural associations, and San Rocco was once the richest one. The opulent insides include frescoes by Tintoretto and more.
Eat fish at Acqua e Mais
Alvise, the owner, had the brilliant idea of offering "scraps" overflowing with fried squid, mixed fry, octopus salad, rice with shrimp. The rest is history.
Eat traditional at Osteria la Zucca
Vegetarian food in Venice isn't usually much to write home about, but this place is the best of the bunch (even its name means pumpkin).
Dinosaurs at the Museo di Storia Naturale
While this is a fairly standard natural history museum, it's a great for children, and the dinosaur fossils are undeniably impressive.
Admire the collection of Ca' Pesaro
This modern art gallery houses 10 rooms and multiple works by Rodin, Kandinskji and De Chirico, to name but a few.
Enjoy traditional cicchetti and wine at Cantina Do Spade
