Perched on a clifftop overlooking rolling ocean swells, this spectacular villa offers a breathtaking location, awe-inspiring 180-degree views and easy access to all the amenities you could need for an unforgettable stay on the Pearl of the Atlantic. On entry, you'll be greeted by an open layout living area with several seating areas, a stylish dining table, and jaw-dropping panoramas, courtesy of double sliding doors that lead out onto a balcony that gives you the feeling of being suspended above the sea. Elsewhere, leather sofas set up around a fireplace offer a lavish location to relax on cooler evenings, while the wicker set is best placed to make the most of the scenery. Thanks to its south-facing aspect, you can look forward to long sun-soaked days lounging by the pool, cooking in the outdoor kitchen, and eating on the terrace. And once you've had enough of topping up your tan for the day, there's a vast games room on the lower level, complete with a Playstation, pool table, table tennis and table football – plenty to keep everyone entertained throughout the day. Alternatively, keep up with your regular fitness routine in the on-site gym, which features a cross-trainer, exercise bike, weights and... yoga mats for that all-important post-session warm-down. On your doorstep, the quiet residential neighbourhood of Garajau guarantees a peaceful stay. Follow the path down the hill to the statue of Christ. It bears more than a passing resemblance to Rio's iconic Christ the Redeemer, though it actually predates it by four years. From here, board the cable car for a gravity-defying ride down the cliff to the pebble beach, which offers a stunning spot to swim in the sea or enjoy a bite to eat in the seafront restaurant. For a greater choice of eateries, plus boutiques and museums, the compact capital of Funchal is a ten-minute drive, while Palheiro Golf Course offers challenging terrain to novices and veterans alike, approximately 10km away.
