Tucked away in the lush countryside of the Dordogne, in a hamlet between the medieval towns of Monpazier and Beaumont du Périgord, sits this beautiful home. The renovated farmhouse and cottage date back to the 16th century, and have been restored with so much love and care. The character of the buildings has been cherished – they’ve just been brought into the 21st century so you’ll have everything you might need during your stay. You can look forward to original beams, terracotta tiles, and a centuries-old larder and stone basin. An enormous fireplace with a wood burner keeps things oh so cosy – there’s no finer place to curl up with a glass of wine on chilly evenings. This charming home sits in 2.5 acres of gardens, with the scent of lavender and rosemary carrying in the breeze. The beautiful stone exterior of the farmhouse is decorated with clambering wisteria, roses and jasmine. It’s like something from a children’s story – a real idyll.
