Sitting pretty up on the ninth floor of a modern building, this apartment is blessed with a truly stunning view of Málaga's marina and the Andalucian hilltops in the distance. Thankfully, there's a terrace from which you can take a seat and admire this wonderful scenery. You can also catch a glimpse of it through the windows inside. Once you can prise your attention away from what's happening outside, you'll find an interior that's as fresh and contemporary as they come. Stark white walls and sleek surfaces in the kitchen work well with the copious amounts of natural light, while there are some stylish touches in the design that add some character – the pastel armchairs are particularly cute. There's only so long that you can look out at the city's port and not be desperate to go for a swim. As luck would have it, the golden sands of Playa la Malagueta are only three minutes' walk away. You'll find plenty of seafront bars and restaurants in the local area, as well as the Centre Pompidou only two minutes from your front door on foot.

Additional fees

• If you're arriving by plane, your host can arrange airport transfers to Malaga city centre for an additional fee – this will cost €35 for up to four guests and €45 for up to eight guests, while larger groups and other destinations may be possible on request

• Your host can provide a cot and high chair for little ones for an extra €5 each per night

• There's no free parking at this home, but you can use the paid on-site car park for €15 per night
