This sunshine yellow house in the historic town of Alcudia is the perfect family getaway. Set across four floors, there’s plenty of room for everyone. The main bedroom has a little balcony, which is the perfect place for a quiet moment at the start of the day with a cup of coffee and a book. On the top floor there is a magnificent roof terrace, with commanding views of the town, stretching down to the sea. Up here you can sunbathe in the deck chairs, or fire up the barbecue and enjoy alfresco lunches. There’s also a kids’ play area upstairs for the little ones. Alcudia is the historic centre of Mallorca, and you’ll be staying within the Mediaeval city walls of the Old Town. The area is rich with history and beautiful to walk around – stroll five minutes to see 1st Century BC Roman ruins that are still being excavated today, complete with a Roman forum and theatre. When you’ve had your dose of culture, seek the sea. Port D’Alcudia can be reached in five minutes by car, where you’ll find a long sandy beach and a handful of bars. There are a handful of more remote beaches... north of the town, which are reachable on foot or by car.
