Welcome to the best view in Brixham. Perched above the harbour, this cosy cottage stares down on the glistening water, colourful boats and pretty houses. Open the windows in the warmer months and you can smell the fresh scent of the sea air – It's the perfect way to start your day. When you have a view that spectacular, it's only fair there are many sighting spots. Whether you're in the sitting room, the open-plan dining area or the terrace, the harbour is always in view. On the sunny afternoons, open the terrace doors and share toast and jams on the dining table for the feel of alfresco dining. Wander out onto the terrace for a cup of coffee, slowly waking up with the ocean. When the sun sets on the shoreline, snuggle up in the sitting room, dimmed by the moonlight pouring in through the window. Once you're well-rested, get out and explore the quaint charm of Brixham. The enchanting town has become a haven for local artists – you can admire their pieces in the various galleries or watch them working on the Strand. Furthering a cultural itinerary, Brixham is home to many museums and there are opportunities for... tours along the coast. If you prefer getting about by yourself, put on your hiking boats and embark on the walking trails along the coastline.

Clustered along the water’s edge and rising with the hills, the homes of Brixham are a particularly pretty sight at night, when the light from their interiors reflects off the sea below. But that’s not to say they’re not delightful in the day,...
