Right in the heart of Brixham, this period home is perfectly positioned for exploring. Cafes, restaurants, pubs and, of course, the village's bustling harbour are all a short walk away – as far as locales go, you can't get much better. With hidden coves and secluded sandy beaches dotted along the coastline, you'll also have plenty of options when it comes to beach days. Berry Head National Nature Reserve is a thirty-minute stroll away (or five minutes by car if your feet need a rest), where you can bask in the incredible views. Or, don your hiking shoes and wander along the South West Coast Path. After a day in the fresh air, make yourself at home in the cosy living room. We love the traditional elements – think high ornate ceilings, classic sash windows and a feature fireplace – and they've been married perfectly with a sleek, contemporary style. In the kitchen, you'll find everything you need to whip up dinner using fish from Brixham's buzzing seafood market – why not turn dinner into an extra-special affair with a cocktail made with gin from the local distillery? Later on, when bellies are full and legs are tired, snuggle up for... a movie night in the living area before hitting the hay. Trust us – with Devon's endless adventures on your doorstep, you'll need all the rest you can get.

If you’re looking for a friendly, traditional town from which to enjoy the English Riviera, consider booking a place to stay along the cobbled streets of Brixham. Clustered along the water’s edge and rising with the hills, the homes of Brixham are a particularly pretty sight at night, when the light from their interiors reflects off the sea below. But that’s not to say they’re not delightful in the day,...
