Lovely and bright inside, this contemporary home is the ideal retreat for anyone chasing the best of both seclusion and a seaside break. Walk twenty minutes and you’ll find yourself in the heart of Southwold, boasting bold beach huts, wonderfully sandy beaches, and a good helping of independent stores, restaurants and cafes. Of course, no quintessential seaside town is complete without a pier and you’ll find all 623 feet of it stretching into the North Sea. Explore all the town has to offer knowing that you can just as quickly return to the more rural location of the home. When you do, bring back fresh fish and chips to enjoy in the sunny, south-facing garden as you gather around the picnic-style bench with the flowers in bloom. Out there, breathing in the fresh sea air, also happens to be a good place to be after sunset and we recommend a chat over drinks as the stars illuminate the sky above. Spend lazy mornings in front of the fire with freshly-brewed coffee before preparing breakfast or going in search of it at one of the local eateries. You might opt for a morning walk through the Reydon woods, but if you... want to stay in with a good book and a bottle of wine, that’s okay too. Whichever way you choose to relax, this home has the space for you to do so.

The pier, with its traditional pavilion, might look like any other late-Victorian pier from the outside, but it’s a must-visit in this seaside town. What makes Southwold Pier different is its arcade of humorous, quirky, coin-operated machines. Created by the inventor Tim Hunkin, they feature a range of eccentric – and...
