Set high in the hills overlooking the charming village of Bargemon, this RIBA award-winning architectural marvel offers total privacy and seclusion in an idyllic setting – perfect for a restorative retreat with friends and family. Immersion in nature provides the inspiration for this gorgeous home. Your hosts have designed a structure where the south-facing facade can be peeled back to provide spectacular woodland vistas that stretch as far as the glistening waters of the Côte d'Azur. Both indoor and outdoor living areas are spacious and welcoming – with a large kitchen-diner, comfortable seating around the fireplace in the living room, a 60m-long lemon tree-lined pergola and an inviting saltwater pool – providing you with spaces to come together and socialise or find a quiet corner to call your own when you need to recharge. Meanwhile, four en-suite bedrooms provide a soothing sanctuary at the end of a day spent doing as little as you like. There are also plenty of entertainment options on-site, with a playpen and swings for the little ones and table tennis, croquet, badminton and a boules court to incite a bit of friendly competition between the adults. You can't visit this scenic corner of France and not... do a bit of exploring, no matter how tempting it might be to stay at home. Excursion to the Med, the spectacular milky blue waters of the Gorges du Verdon, the 12th-century Thoronet Abbey, and the Gréolières Les Neiges ski area are all within an hour's drive.
