The very nearest – Burriana Beach (a twelve-minute drive), gets our vote. Then make a pit stop in Nerja's Old Town (a ten-minute drive) to dive into its countless authentic restaurants for a taste of Malaga. Or, in the opposite direction, Frigiliana (a ten-minute drive) with its tapas bars tucked away within the atmospheric narrow streets of the Moorish old quarter.
