The former fishing village of Aberdaron is around two miles away, where you can stroll along the mile-long sandy bay. If you're seeking some thrills, head to the aptly-named Hell's Mouth, a beach that's popular with fearless surfers. And, if you'd prefer to stick to dry land, lace up your hiking boots and join one of the trials weaving through Snowdonia National Park – it's roughly an hour away by car.
