Not only does this stone-built cottage overlook Snowdonia’s majestic mountains, but it has a hot tub to enjoy the incredible views, too – savour the landscape with a glass of Champagne. The terrace is a lovely space for atmospheric alfresco dining. Relish the vistas from inside with a glass of wine from the welcome hamper (it also includes a selection of local products, including sliced bread, eggs, tea, coffee, milk, cake, and biscuits). We love the character features, such as the vaulted ceilings and beams. When it’s chilly, snuggle up around the log burner with your loved ones or challenge someone to a game of table tennis. There’s underfloor heating here, too, to keep your toes toasty, and every bedroom is ensuite. This home is the ideal retreat for a family or group of friends looking to explore this wonderful part of the world. Betws y Coed, the gateway to the craggy peaks and beautiful lakes of the Snowdonia National Park, is 3 miles away. Or head to the charming market town of Llanrwst, 3 miles from this fabulous home.

Snowdonia National Park is a hiker’s paradise and home to Wales’ biggest lake and highest mountain. After you’ve tackled Snowdon (we won’t tell if you take the little train), there are countless other peaks and trails to explore, many...
