Live the rural dream with a stay in this wonderful home, part of a converted farm steading. It's nestled in the hamlet of Adderstone, and provides the perfect gateway to the wildly beautiful Northumberland countryside. With its traditional red-tiled roof and stone walls, the house is a handsome sight amongst the fields. Step inside, and you'll find a surprisingly modern space, cloaked in blue and grey tones with plenty of natural light. Flop down together on the sofa after a decadent dinner, and get cosy with a good movie. Or, on sunny days, you can throw open the patio doors and head outside for a tipple in the balmy breeze. History fans are in luck – the magical Alnwick Castle is roughly fifteen minutes away by car, and Dunstanburgh Castle is just a little further. Hikers and cyclists can explore the quiet roads leading through the glorious countryside, watching out for local wildlife as they go. And, if you're missing the big city, you can pop into lively Newcastle for a day trip – it's under an hour away by car.

Fishing villages punctuate the sweeps of undiscovered beaches along the coastline. Tangles of lobster pots sit on old stone harbours while boats trundle...
