With big bay windows and a honey-hued exterior, this villa-style home fits in with the Victoriana of Southwold’s seaside charm. You’re less than ten minutes’ walk to the High Street, where there are loads of seafood restaurants, fish and chip shops and breezy beach cafés to while away the days. Plus, it’s just a two-minute stroll to the long stretch of beach, where the old Southwold pier juts out into the water. This place is perfect for a family trip or a group of friends who want seaside adventures. After wind-whipped days on the seafront, it’s a delight to come back and stick on the wood-burner-styled stove in the plush living room. Should the weather stay fine, there’s the opportunity to dine outside on the patio on sunny summer nights. The traditional kitchen has all the charm of an old farmhouse, with stripped wooden floors, a breakfast table in the big bay window and duck-egg-blue cabinets holding all you need for self-catering.
