Set in a stunning location with woodland walks and a beautiful beach a stone's throw away, this five-bedroom accommodation occupies the private west wing of a spectacular 18th-century gothic-style mansion, which also happens to be Wales' oldest art gallery. Inside, elevated sash windows and soaring vaulted ceilings ensure plenty of natural light in the dining room, which serves as the central social hub, with a cosy sitting room for evening relaxation at one end, and a well-equipped kitchen at the other. Being linked to an art gallery has some unique perks, including many eye-catching works by local artists adorning the walls. The fact that the area is an established Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty provides plenty of inspiration for the art, in addition to a treasure trove of nearby scenic spots to seek out under your own steam. A stay at this self-catering accommodation places you within easy reach of the Llŷn Peninsula's most stunning sights and a little over thirty minutes from the unspoiled landscapes of Snowdonia National Park. Closer to home, enjoy gorgeous grounds that look out over Cardigan Bay, with Snowdonia's mountains as the backdrop, and set off to explore the Wales Coast Path, which can be accessed directly... from the grounds. While the garden out front might be shared with gallery visitors during the day, you can access a private patio and gas barbecue out back. However, if you don't feel like firing up the grill, there's always the on-site cafe for light lunches and afternoon teas – a well-deserved indulgence after a morning hike.
