Tucked away on a lovely farm estate, this quaint cottage offers all the charm of a country retreat combined with the modern comforts you seek when on a getaway. Throw the sliding doors open and start the morning with a coffee in the garden swing seats, then savour your breakfast at the family-style table whilst admiring the view of the sprawling sunflower fields. We imagine you’ll want to spend the majority of your time walking the local trails across the Cheviot Hills and ambling along the River Eden, though if you’d like to practice your swing, the Kelso Golf Club is a short drive away too. The cosy bedrooms, with their minimal and homey designs, beckon you into restful sleep so you can wake up refreshed, ready for a day at the Kelso Market. On cool nights, cook up some family favourites in the country-style kitchen, then cosy up by the wood-burning stove and play a few games of cards by firelight – a glass of wine wouldn’t go amiss here. Of course, you could spend all day wandering the moors around the home alternatively, you could make the drive to the forty-minute drive to Tweedmouth for a day on... the sands.
