Situated on the south bank of the River Waveney and only a mile or so south of the Norfolk border, this charming converted barn provides a countryside escape that's perfect for couples or a solo getaway. Set over two levels, the interior provides a surprising amount of space. On the ground floor is an elegant living room with a pair of Knole sofas that are perfect for stretching out with a good book or putting your feet up after a long walk through the countryside with your faithful dog. Elsewhere, the compact kitchen comes with everything you could need for a self-catered stay. Climb the spiral staircase to the bedroom, and you'll be greeted by a comfortable king-size bed surrounded by exposed red brick walls. Lie back and look up at beautiful oak beams that support the soaring vaulted ceiling, though taller guests should watch their heads on the cross-beams. The nearby market town of Diss is famed for its antique markets, which can prove to be a treasure trove for anyone with a discerning eye. A little further afield, the charismatic cobbled centre of Norwich is approximately forty-five minutes' drive, while Southwold and the Suffolk coast are around an hour away.
