Travelling around the north of England, it’s pretty difficult to avoid national parks and Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Right in between the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales, Arnside & Silverdale AONB is a lesser-known beauty spot on Morecambe Bay. From this delightful farmhouse, around two miles from Arnside Beach, not only can you explore these striking English scenes in all their glory, but your own home is something of an AONB in its own right. Located in thirty-five acres of lush fields, this renovated farmhouse oozes rustic luxury from the offset. Woodlands, streams, ponds, and limestone clint pavements make up this unique landscape, with your glorious stone cottage at the centre of it all. We love the outdoor seating on the verdant lawns, as well as patios and even a garden kitchen with its very own pizza oven. Mediterranean alfresco dining might appear to be on the cards, but the interiors are perfect for a classic Sunday roast. Step inside the living space to find original timber beams lining the ceilings above the family dining space. The atmosphere is incredibly homely and welcoming, especially when the log-burner is lit up in the inglenook. With a modern country kitchen, you’ve got... no excuse when it comes to homemade Yorkshire puddings – the only question is how much gravy you’d like on top.

About The Lake District
Poets and novelists have often escaped to the Lake District for a spot of inspiration. Famously, Wordsworth pondered about daffodils and clouds during his time here. The undulating hills are tracked with drystone walls while sheep graze, and farmsteads enjoy untouched beauty for miles around. England’s biggest lake, Windermere, cuts through a valley, sleek as glass and hosts a litany of cosy-pub-filled towns and water sports venues along its shores....
