Sitting just across the street from the golden sands of Grande Plage du Sillon, this fourth-floor apartment is treated to a front-row seat on Saint-Malo's coastline and the architect has rather thoughtfully covered the walls of the apartment with large windows so you gaze out at the seaside. Even better, there's a balcony to stand on for a burst of sea air and sunshine on your skin. Given that your eyes are naturally drawn to what lies outside, it makes sense that the design doesn't try to compete. However, there's a sleek subtlety to the stark white walls, deliciously sleek kitchen and geometric furnishings – the square dining table next to the double-aspect windows is a particularly picturesque spot for dinner. When it comes to seeing a little more of Saint-Malo, there's way more than the neighbouring beach to keep you occupied. Fort National can be visited if you time the tides right, while the winding alleys and streets of the historic Intra-Muros area are less than ten minutes away on foot as well.
