Is there anything more idyllic than an escape to rural France? This home is charm personified, with views of a vineyard, trees surrounding the property, and sunlight streaming through solarium windows. The stone house is tucked away in the countryside just outside of the small village of Besse-sur-Issole. When you need supplies, it’s easy to stroll into the village – return laden down with fresh bread, saucissons from the butcher’s, and bottles of wine from the local area. In fact, you’ll be spoilt for choice when it comes to wine – there are plenty of vineyards nearby for you to visit. Bring your wares back to the house and recline on the terrace, perhaps sipping a glass of your new favourite vin. Dive into the swimming pool when you need to cool down or sit by its edge reading, dipping a toe in every now and then. Life in the country has a slower pace, so you’ll find yourself starting to relax as soon as you arrive. In the evenings, dine alfresco on the terrace. Enjoy one last dip in the pool as the sun is setting, then settle in for a cosy night. This is a lovely home-from-home, with... all the comforts you could hope for. You’ll be planning your return before you’ve even unpacked your bags.
