Part of a historic building close to Genoa's famous port, this second-floor apartment retains an air of grandeur from the address's former life, particularly the high corniced ceilings and tall windows that both lend a light and airy feel. By contrast, much of the interior design is simple, with mint-green walls hosting a small but eclectic collection of mementoes and artworks, and the minimalist white kitchen with a smart marble splashback ready and waiting in case you want a night off the local restaurants. In and of itself, this would be more than enough for a visitor coming to the city and looking for somewhere reliable. When it comes to seeing a little more of Genoa, you're in a fabulous position here, with a great selection of galleries, restaurants and historic attractions easily reachable on foot – the artwork and frescoes in the Santissima Annunziata del Vastato lie just around the corner, for instance.
