Part of the beautiful Languedoc-Roussillon, a region renowned for its prestigious vineyards and vibrant sunflowers, this quintessentially French holiday home is located in a small family-friendly village just a fifteen-minute drive from the spectacular walled city of Carcassonne and the equally fairy tale-esque Limoux. Inside, it’s a beguiling mix of old-world glamour and country-chic charm – we loved the sweeping staircase and marble fireplaces, not to mention the working fireplace in the expansive reception area – perfect for warming up with your loved ones on those cooler evenings. After cooking up a storm on the aga-style oven, bask in the summer sun in the comfort and serenity of your private pool area, or stroll down towards the river that babbles softly at the end of the garden. Whether you’re cosying up in the inviting living areas, pottering around the mature garden, dipping in that impressive swimming pool, or exploring the best of what the Languedoc region has to offer, the creature comforts and understated style of this typically French home guarantee unforgettable memories in beautiful surroundings. In the nearby village, you will find a tennis court, a public swimming pool, as well as a popular horse-riding school just a short walk... away. Bike hire can also be arranged locally and there is plenty of opportunity to get out into the countryside with activities including fishing, canoeing, cycling, and hiking all readily available. Furthermore, fans of golf lovers can reach the highly-regarded Golf de Carcassonne in just fifteen minutes by car.

About France
You could easily take a lifetime’s worth of French holidays and still feel like you haven’t scratched the nation’s surface. The most visited country in the world, France has long inspired artists, revolutionaries, dreamers, and bons vivants with its storybook landscapes, artistic treasures, and cultural idiosyncrasies. Paris is, of course, the country’s glittering centrepiece but there are countless beauty spots worth discovering outside of the City of Light. Sun yourself...

Host
This home is managed by Annette
This home is managed directly by its owner who will be your point of contact before and during your stay. Annette has been coming to this region of France for nearly thirty years and absolutely loves it. They've owned the house for twenty of those years - and now being semi-retired, is getting the time to spruce up the garden and go rowing in Carcassonne. She is very knowledgeable about the region so do make the most of her as your host.
