Sitting on the southern coastline of the Peloponesse, the seafront city of Kalamata brings together wonderful beaches, mouth-watering cuisine and historic architecture that wears the region's history on its sleeve. This simple but stylish maisonette puts you in an excellent position to see the best attractions. There's a contemporary sheen to the interior design, with Scandi-inspired furnishings and smart wooden floors rubbing shoulders with bursts of bright colours and artwork on the walls. The narrow shape of the space means that there aren't all too many windows and natural light, but there's a good amount of spotlights to combat any potential dullness. When it comes to getting to know Kalamata, the central location means you're close to everything from restaurants and the harbour to the open-air railway museum set within a large park. The historic centre is just over a kilometre to the north, while the long and sandy Kalamatis beach sits a similar distance away in the opposite direction.
