Do you have a question about this home or the local area?

We've seen a lot of homes in our times, but not too many that look like this. Sitting close to the centre of the Sicilian town of Modica, the living quarters are built in close proximity to a rock face, exposed patches of which pop up in the ceiling and walls. Despite this rustic foundation, the majority of the interior is strikingly contemporary in contrast, with a wealth of sleek surfaces, muted neutrals and industrial-chic lighting. Leave the home at ground level and you're greeted by a rather charming outdoor space in which you can make the most of the island's kind climate. While it lies on the smaller side of things, the heated swimming pool is still very much welcome, while the outdoor kitchen and alfresco table under the pergola give you the chance to have open-air banquets that stretch on long into the evening. There's also a terrace on the other side of the home that has a wonderful view of local landmarks, including Modica Alta and the Cathedral of San Giorgio. It doesn't take too long to walk into the middle of town to explore the restaurants and bars that line the winding streets. If you've got the time...
