This thoughtfully finished, cosy home from home in the small village of Greystoke makes an ideal base from which to explore the Lake District National Park. With an effortlessly charming feel, the cottage perfectly combines original characterful features with contemporary styling and modern fixtures and fittings in order to create a uniquely welcoming, homely environment. Whether it's outdoor adventures or low-key countryside relaxation that's top of the agenda, this place provides a fabulous starting point for both. As you step inside, leaving any muddy shoes in the handy porch, you'll be greeted by authentic wooden beams contrasted against crisp white walls, lending to the traditional feel of the place. Then there's that lovely wood-burning stove in the living area, a fantastic original feature that's perfect for warming up after a long walk in the stunning surrounding countryside. What better excuse to curl up on the sofa in front of the smart TV, or with a good book and cup of tea in hand? You're on holiday, after all. After a homecooked meal enjoyed in the company of your nearest and dearest, why not round off the evening with a long hot soak in the bath? We feel more relaxed already.
