Do you have a question about this home or the local area?
Found in a beautiful building set right above a bar, kitchen, and garden, this room might be small, but it’s also a comfortable and relaxing base for anyone looking to explore all London has to offer. Without its own kitchen, you probably won’t spend long stretches here, but when you do, you can read in the light of the window, or catch up on a movie from the cushy bed. Spend the rest of the time picnicking in Kennington Park, visiting the coffee and book shop a ten-minute walk away, and strolling along the banks of the Thames before finding a restaurant to have dinner at. Come back to enjoy a drink at the bar before heading up to your room for a peaceful night’s sleep.

Local guide
About Lambeth
Lambeth is an unpretentious and centrally located part of town, located on the south side of the Thames, directly opposite the Houses of Parliament and Big Ben. It's home to the Imperial War Museum and though it's got its own historic palace, Lambeth isn't a grand area. It's a good place to experience real London though and works well as a base for exploring Westminster and the famous cultural hotspot of the nearby South Bank.

Have A Pint At The Three Stags
This pub is where Charlie Chaplin saw his dad for the last time. A great ethical, sustainable pub which has been awarded stars for its attitudes to sourcing local produce.
Grab a pint and a bite at the Black Dog Pub
This bustling corner pub has all you need in a local: great food, proper beers and a lively atmosphere. Reservations recommended, especially for their understandably popular Sunday Roast.
Get down with a Dirty Burger
With burgers as sloppy as the name suggests, DB have earned a name for themselves for producing juicy, loaded-with-flavour burgers served up from the arches beneath Vauxhall’s railway tracks.
Escape the city at Vauxhall Pleasure Gardens
Once Victorian ‘Spring Gardens’, the Pleasure Gardens today play host to a busy calendar of events from outdoor movie screenings to colourful lights shows. Great for a quiet picnic away from the city.
Enjoy a drink on the river at Tamesis Dock
Views to match any in London, but in the least pretentious setting. This river side barge bar is the perfect spot for a summer sundowner while watching Big Ben turn its lights on across the river.
Explore at Newport Street Gallery
With free entry and set in a Victorian warehouse, this showcase of the British art giant’s private collection gives the public a chance to explore guest exhibitions and classic modern art.
Discover the exhibitions at the Garden Museum
Set within the restored church of St Mary’s, burial place of the first great British gardener and plant-hunter, John Tradescant, this is historically significant, lush spot to visit.
Order tea and cakes at the tea house theatre
This quaint tearoom is set in an old Victorian pub overlooking the Pleasure Gardens. They serve English breakfasts, cakes and loose-leaf tea, but don't dare to ask for coffee.
Grab a drink with a view at The Rose
Set yourself down for a meal and a pint alongside views of the River Thames at this traditional Victorian pub in the heart of Vauxhall.
Explore Beefeater Gin Distillery London
Immerse yourself in the history of gin at Beefeater Gin Distillery. Enjoy informative tours, fascinating exhibits, and delicious tastings. Knowledgeable guides make the experience unforgettable.
