If you’re looking for a little slice of Provincial life in the heart of the city, you’re certainly in the right neighbourhood here. This apartment sits in the charming Batignolles neighbourhood, where the leafy streets lined with 18th-century sandstone buildings and Saturday market feel as though you’re in a typical French village. The nearby picturesque Parc Monceau is ideal for a stroll, but you’re still close to the action with Villiers metro stop a few footsteps away. The apartment lies within the former mansion of renowned writer Edmond Rostand. It’s a bright and sunny spot, thanks to a wall of windows and glass doors. A bistro-style table can double as a space for a laptop and there’s a sofa to put your feet up at the end of the day. The sleeping area is in a separate space from the living area – up a floating staircase on the mezzanine level.

About Monceau - Ternes
This is the residential part of the affluent 8th arrondissement, tucked just behind the Champs Elysée but without the tourists. Your neighbours will mainly be wealthy families but you will also come across quite a few workers going to the office too. It's a safe part of town, well positioned for exploring more vibrant neighbourhoods like Batignolles, Pigalle, or even Grands Boulevards. You'll find lots of high-end shops around Madeleine...
