Experience the rugged beauty of the Northumberland coast on a restorative retreat to the charming fishing town of Seahouses. Perhaps best known as the gateway to the Farne Islands, this colourful coastal community offers easy access to one of Europe's most important bird and seal colonies. A stunning stone exterior gives way to a warm welcome courtesy of the wood burner and comfortable living area. Putting your feet up by the fire is the perfect remedy for bracing winter walks with your four-legged friends along the exposed North Sea coast. A fully kitted-out kitchen is more than sufficient for six, with a rustic dining table where you can plan your day looking out over the compact courtyard garden. Upstairs, each of the three individually decorated bedrooms guarantees a serene night's sleep. Aside from being just a two-minute walk from Seahouses Harbour, you can't visit this section of the Northumberland coast without paying a visit to Bamburgh's famous castle and stopping off for a bite in its quaint eateries. Alternatively, Beadnell offers an adrenaline-fuelled experience, with kitesurfing, windsurfing and wakeboarding on its watersports menu.

About The Northumberland Coast

Right at the top of England, Northumberland’s great expanse is dotted with medieval strongholds that have seen many a bloody battle. A landscape rich with history, you can explore the crumbling ruins of clifftop castles or tour restored and retained masterpieces at Bamburgh Castle and Alnwick Castle. Fishing villages punctuate the sweeps of undiscovered beaches along the coastline. Tangles of lobster pots sit on old stone harbours while boats trundle...
