While the golden beaches of Zakynthos receive their fair share of attention, the island's verdant interior can sometimes be overlooked. However, a stay at this marvellous villa in the middle of a country estate will have you singing its praises to anybody that'll listen. Wander across the vast grounds – or cycle using the provided bicycles – and you'll spot vineyards, olive groves, and fruit trees, and your host can even arrange tastings. A little closer to the home, you can't fail to notice the infinity swimming pool, which has both hydromassage features and a children's section. Elsewhere outside, the alfresco table and barbecue on the terrace let you enjoy lavish feasts with a rather bucolic backdrop. Step behind the home's glass doors and you're greeted by living quarters that feel fresh and bright. Stark white walls accentuate the ample amounts of natural light that stream in through the windows, while there are a few lavish touches in the shape of the chandeliers hanging from the ceilings and the range of prettily tiled bathtubs. Although the location is certainly rural, you don't have to venture far for a bit of life. The nearest stretch of seaside, for example, is Bouka Beach only 8km... away, and the bright lights of Zakynthos Town are a similar distance away, too.
