Brilliantly located in Bari’s historic centre, this boho townhouse puts you in the heart of the city’s action, with plenty to see and do within easy walking distance, including the Basilica Cattedrale Metropolitana Primaziale San Sabino, the Castello Svevo di Bari and the scenic Lungomare. Laid out over three internal floors, you’ll find a warm and welcoming kitchen on the ground floor – replete with colourful tiles and an inviting dining area, while the middle floor is taken up by a cosy living area decorated with potted plants, dark wood floors and tall windows. Make your way up to the top floor and step into the mezzanine-style bedroom – we love the Juliet balcony and the room’s focus on natural materials. From here, you’ve got access to the private terrace up another flight of stairs – a sunny outdoor haven perfect for enjoying alfresco meals under blue skies and celebratory glasses of Italian wine under blankets of stars.

Home truths
This home is laid out over three floors with internal stairs between them – there is a further flight of stairs leading up to the terrace
At capacity, two guests will be sleeping on the sofa bed in the living area – this will be at the expense of lounge space, however, so we think this home is better suited to two adults
The kitchenette is compact and lacks an oven – we think it's better suited to light snack-making than preparing larger meals
There's no desk, but the dining table can double up as a laptop-friendly workspace
Given its central location, you may hear some street noise

About Bari
Forget the North Pole, Bari is the home of Santa Claus. That is, some of the bones of Saint Nicholas of Myra are held in the beautiful Basilica di San Nicola, dating back to the 12th century. Apart from ancient relics, the buzzing coastal city of Bari is a warren of narrow streets where nonnas set up rickety old tables to pinch and twist pasta dough into orecchiette by hand....
