Just a short ferry ride across the bay from the bustling port city of Naples is the island of Ischia, famed for its thermal spas, manicured gardens, and dramatic cliffs. And here, in this traditional stone villa perched upon the coast on a nature reserve, is where you’ll discover a sense of the island’s true character. This is a place where elegant simplicity prevails. Where the centrepiece of the living room is not a TV, but a seemingly infinite view of the sea, framed by sliding glass doors and an arched timber-framed window. Yet style abounds – a beautiful circular brick fireplace offers a touch of colourful warmth against the whitewashed walls and tiled floors, while the cosy sofas make for the perfect place to take in the view with a glass of red wine. But don’t be surprised if you reserve much of your time for the outside. The villa’s unique terraced garden is quite unlike anything else, climbing up and down between terraces and paved patios, each with their own unique perspective of the surrounding hills and sea. This is the perfect place to kick-back with a book or enjoy lunch alfresco as the warm coastal breeze floods your senses.... From here you can also plan the perfect excursions, like a day at the pristine beach of San Montano, or a tour of nearby Naples with its royal palaces and castles.

About Ischia
Cast out in the Tyrrhenian Sea, Ischia is surrounded by a palette of impossible, sparkling blues. Ferries run from Naples to this quiet little island and once here, you’ll find a laid-back dot of land that combines luxury beach clubs with old-world Italia. Beach resorts that have catered to royalty and Hollywood starlets line the coast, where Negronis are delivered straight to your lounger and lunch can be taken on...
