If you’ll be driving through the centre of Milan, it’s worth noting that there’s a congestion charge to pay unless you’re travelling in an electric vehicle – you can buy an entrance ticket for €5 from tobacconist shops, or €3 from parking lots

Garibaldi takes its name from the large train station that sits on its Northern edge. It's a lovely, mainly residential neighbourhood to be based in - it's set back away from the more hectic centre, but still within easy walking distance (only a twenty minutes amble to Brera and thirty minutes to the Duomo). The neighbourhood has a few great restaurants and we especially recommend the wonderfully traditional Antica trattoria...
