The sea views overlooking the famous Whitstable oyster beds are the biggest draw at this weatherboard townhouse set just a pebble’s throw from the beach. The sweet balcony is a nice touch to catch the last of the day’s sunshine. Though one of the bedrooms sleeping four is on the cosy side, with a king-sized bed and two singles – better suited to a small family sharing, we think. Make for bustling Harbour Street, with a myriad of independent shops, cafes and restaurants. And when you’re suitably refuelled, take the coastal path running to Tankerton with its rows of pastel beach huts.
