This penthouse apartment right on the Grand Canal has romance written all over it. Housed in a historic building, you’ll find plenty of old-world charm in its vaulted beamed ceilings, skylights and eclectic blend of hand-picked antique and contemporary furnishings. The raised dining area is a highlight, as is the bathroom’s tub and the shelves laden with books. But the real star of the home is the private terrace with its views over the canal, Cà Pesaro and Cannaregio’s rooftops. When you’re ready to venture out for some exploring, you’ll find Rialto Bridge a five-minute walk from home, and with water taxi access available straight from the building, the city’s other historic and cultural must-sees are just a boat ride away.

About Rialto
Rialto is right in the middle of Venice’s other main districts – it doesn't really get more central than this. It’s a favourite with tourists, particularly as its less hectic than San Marco (this is all relative though – everywhere in Venice is packed). It’s intersected by many small intertwining canals, which make for good views and plenty of opportunity for gondola rides, if that's your cup of tea. Perhaps...
