Set between mountains and sea, this converted stable is in an elevated position and backed by woodland on the edge of Grange-over-Sands (a ten-minute walk away). There are plenty of woodland walks to enjoy directly in front of this cottage, while foodies will be pleased to know that there's a Michelin-starred restaurant in nearby Cartmel. The house itself has a paved and gravel courtyard, while inside, there's plenty of character, such as whitewashed stone walls and the all-important log burner. We'd say the second bedroom is a bit on the cosy side when the pull-out single bed is used, so it's probably better suited to children.
