With a history as colourful as its interior design, this home in trendy South Pigalle is full of theatrical elegance and quirky artistic curiosities. Once belonging to the Countess of Ségur as well as to painter Jean-Édouard Vuillard, the home pays tribute to its creative past with a display of portraits, musical instruments and articles of virtu that come together in a kaleidoscope of fascinating beauty. Amidst the herringbone flooring, high ceilings, decorative fireplaces, ornate moulding and objets d’art, the living room’s crowning glory is the balcony with views of the Sacré-Cœur. Sit here in the morning with your coffee while taking in views of the basilica and the Square Berlioz that Vuillard captured in his paintings. Alternatively, choose instead to begin your day on the master bedroom’s balcony, in the second bedroom's winter garden or on the terrace where there’s a vegetable patch. With a cinema screen, a piano, a marimba and a working fireplace to curl up next to with a good book, you can while away entire days in this eclectic home, without ever wanting to leave. When you do decide to venture out, Montmartre’s bohemian streets are just a ten-minute walk away, while countless bistros, boutiques... and bars are waiting to be discovered right outside your door. After a day of sightseeing and flâning in your neighbourhood, come back home for a shower in the boudoir bathroom before deciding which balcony to relax on while watching the sunset over the city.

About South Pigalle
South Pigalle, previously a rather seedy corner of Paris (home to the Moulin Rouge), has picked up a new nickname, 'SoPi', and gone all trendy. Most tourists alighting at the Pigalle metro station tend to walk up towards Montmartre and the Sacré-Coeur, but hipster Parisians – the self-styled BoBo (bourgeois bohemians) – head in the opposite direction, to South Pigalle. During the day, wander in and out of the gorgeous...
