This adults-only, 19th-century stone cottage, set along a quiet road in the old quarter of Swanage, is the perfect retreat for couples looking to explore the Jurassic Coast. While the traditional décor is dated in parts, and the dining kitchen is compact, you can’t help but fall in love with the home’s period features. The cosy inglenook fireplace is prime for winter evenings, and the suntrap walled garden with views of the Purbeck Hills is a nice touch. It’s worth noting the staircase leading up to the bedrooms is narrow and steep. So while it looks charming, it might not suit everyone.

There is allocated off-road parking for one car in front of the cottage.
Please note the steep staircase may be unsuitable for guests with restricted mobility. There is also a reduced head height in the living area due to a central beam.
The second bedroom is quite small with limited storage space. However, it has everything you need for a comfortable night's sleep.
The traditional decor here might not be to everyone's taste. It feels a little dated in parts.
