Columbus Circle Holiday Market, New York
Christmas trees for sale in New York City
Columbus Circle Holiday Market is one of the top Christmas markets you'll ever visit. With an iconic location at the entrance to Central Park, it’s one of the most scenic places for holiday shopping. The market attracts visitors and locals alike, and is a quintessential NYC shopping experience. It’s easy to get lost within a maze of over 100 stalls selling everything from art and jewellery, to homeware and delicious treats. Find the perfect Christmas gift from independent designers and artisans. Some items are marked with an Artisan Pledge symbol, meaning that the item is environmentally conscious. You’ll find goods which are made from recycled, reused or vintage materials, as well as organic certified.
Bank of America Winter Village at Bryant Park, New York
Here’s another festive Christmas market to visit in New York. The Bank of America Winter Village is the ultimate destination this holiday season. You could easily spend hours browsing over 150 glass kiosks selling a whole range of goods and treats. You’ll come across goods by local and international artisans, homeware and decor, beauty products, toys and plenty of festive food and drink. All shopped out but don’t want the fun to end? Head to the centre of the park where you’ll find the city’s only free-admission skating rink. Just make sure you’ve not had too many mulled wines before you put your skates on.
Breckenridge, Colorado
Breckenridge Mountains
Breckenridge is undeniably one of the best locations for Christmas markets in the US. Each Christmas, the ski town of Breckenridge transforms into Winter Wonderland. With snowy peaks, frosty trees and scenic views, it’s impossible not to feel giddy with delight. Looking for some unique Christmas presents? The Breckenridge Arts District hosts a holiday market where you can find all kinds of artwork including jewellery, ceramics, candles, prints and more. Enjoy hot chocolate, bars, festive music and a free snowman building event.
Head to Breckenridge Distillery for the Crafts + Cocktails Holiday Market. You’ll find local artisans selling a whole range of handmade goods like jewellery, ceramics, clothing, scented candles and much more. Sip on craft cocktails and award-winning booze while you shop. If you still have some energy after all that shopping, make sure you hit the slopes, whether it’s skiing, sledding or snow shoeing. Prefer something a little more relaxing? Take a scenic sleigh ride through the shimmering snow.
SWEA Los Angeles Christmas Fair, LA

Can’t make it to Sweden this year? We’ve got the next best thing - the SWEA Los Angeles Christmas Fair. First held in 1979, the market has been going strong ever since. SWEA (Swedish Women’s Education Association) is a non-profit organisation that promotes Swedish culture through Swedish themed events. The Christmas fair in LA has something for everyone, and all profits go to educational scholarships. You’ll find a fantastic selection of Swedish handicrafts, jewellery, fine art, toys and Christmas collectibles. You can enjoy traditional folk dancing, and even try it out for yourself after you’ve had a few mulled, spiced glöggs. There’s also plenty of holiday food and baked goods to indulge in. There’s fun and festivities for the kids too, including a crafts corner and opportunity to meet Swedish Santa himself.
San Diego Made Holiday Market, San Diego

The annual San Diego Made Holiday Market is a unique place to shop, especially if you’re looking for one of a kind gifts. This is San Diego’s largest locally-curated maker’s only market, featuring 60 local vendors. You can find handmade goods, holiday craft cocktails, workshops, a free raffle and street food. There’s also plenty to keep the kids out of your hair, with photo ops, face painting, colouring station and live music.
