This charming villa with views of the Montgó, otherwise known as the Elephant, is a great setting to spend quality time with your loved ones. With mostly ensuite bedrooms, a private pool and a room to work out in, it has a lot going for it. We like the various sunny and shaded outdoor seating areas – with the poolside marquis being our favourite spot. The centre of Beniarbeig, with its shops and restaurants, is within walking distance of the villa and the nearest beach of Denia is only a short drive away.

What’s better than waking up to a fresh cup of cafe con leche? Perhaps only waking up to your morning brew accompanied by vistas over the Med. At this characterful home, you’ll have the perfect backdrop and morning pick-me-up, courtesy of your hillside vantage point and your own coffee machine. Set far enough back from Arenal beachfront to avoid the hustle and bustle, yet with the sandy shores a mere five-minute walk away, this apartment treats you to the best of both worlds. While the view from the private balcony is out onto the road and apartments opposite, you can still enjoy a peek of the sea. It’s also a nice spot for an evening glass of sangria. And if you need to cool off but don’t fancy the beach, the communal pool is just the ticket for a refreshing dip.

This is a villa that will have even the most hard-to-please guests grinning. A lot of that is down to its fabulous views of the glistening Mediterranean and Isla del Portitxol, but special praise also goes to the peaceful swimming pool surrounded by treetops and the covered terrace complete with an alfresco dining table. Although some of the bathrooms are a little dated, we've only got kind words for the three-level layout – we particularly love the main bedroom with a sea-facing balcony. To top it all off, you don't have far to venture for beautiful gold-sand beaches, either.

It's plain to see that somebody with a real eye for design has worked their magic on this townhouse found in the coastal town of Calp. Everywhere you look inside, there are tasteful touches, from the dining table made from a repurposed door and the unashamedly bright colours on the walls to the sheer range of objets d'art dotted about the home.

We're also happy to say that there's plenty of substance behind this style. The sleek black kitchen not only looks the part, but it's also well-equipped for whipping up a feast. We're also fond of the terrace, which has views out over the rooftops and verdant hillsides beyond.

When you're ready to get to know the locale a little better, you'll be surprised at how much there is to see. All of three minutes' walk from the home is Torreó de la Peça, the centuries-old defensive walls built to protect the town from marauders. Arena-Bol beach is a ten-minute walk, while further along the coastline, it's possible to head up to the top of Penyal d'Ifac in just over an hour on foot for some incredible views.

With a View to Dream

Smack bang in the heart of delightful Dénia, this no-fuss apartment is perfect for couples or solo travellers looking for some rest and relaxation on the Costa Blanca. Inside, the place strikes a balance between comfort and function. There’s a compact kitchen equipped for quick meals and a quiet bedroom to ensure a peaceful sleep night after night. But it was the view that was our favourite part. We could’ve spent hours on that modular chair, watching the palm trees sway and the boats to and fro from the harbour, only breaking our gaze to open a bottle of Rioja as the sun sets. Spend mornings exploring your locale – you’re a ten-minute walk from the Dénia Castle and eighteen minutes from the Marineta Casiana Beach. If you’re feeling curious, take the twenty-minute drive to Parc Natural del Montgó for stunning hiking routes or catch the ferry from the port to the dazzling Balearic Islands. 

Where The Boats Go By

Only five kilometres from the historic centre of Javea, this pet-friendly home offers an excellent base for groups staying on the Costa Blanca. Outdoors, you'll sunbathe beneath palm trees and serve Spanish-style barbecues by the pool. With parking space for two cars, day trips to the nearby natural parks are made easy, but how about exploring the Cova dels Òrguens sea caves instead? Though the closest Playa de Cala Ambolo is a nudist beach, traditional alternatives await between the Mediterranean miradors.

When you aren’t swimming laps in the private pool, find a quiet spot on the lesser-known Playa de Port Blanc – there’s a fantastic restaurant nearby for when you get peckish. In the evening, retreat back home to your balcony to watch the sunset behind the mighty Peñón de Ifach – perfectly framed by stone arches, it’s a snapshot you’ll never forget.

Situated in Benitachell, just a ten-minute drive away from Moraig Beach, you'll be in a prime position for exploring the sandy shores of the Alicante coastline – with plenty of shops, bars and waterfront restaurants waiting to be discovered.

Located in La Colina, you're a couple of kilometres from the vast sandy beach and crystalline waters of Platja de l'Arenal, but that's if you can peel yourself away from this achingly beautiful home. 

Days begin outside, with an iced coffee on the sun terrace, overlooking the scenic natural landscape and planning the day's agenda. It will most likely continue with a few leisurely laps of the pool before picking out a lounger to while away the hours. When lunchtime arrives, fire up the barbecue and tuck into a group feast on the terrace. You're well catered for when it comes to alfresco areas – including several day beds and covered seating space for the entire party to sprawl out and unwind. 

Inside, you'll find a comfortable living room where wood beams and tiled flooring shape the space as a whole, while homespun furnishings and a Scandinavian wood stove keep things cosy. After an afternoon snooze in the quiet bedrooms, head out to explore the charming town of Jávea with fantastic restaurants and lively bars, plus a scenic fishing port, just 10km over the hill.

The views from this modern and stylish home are simply sublime. You'll be treated to vistas on all sides of the hills of Moraira and the Costa Blanca. Sit with your friends or family at the table on the terrace, and watch the sea sparkle in the distance. Better yet, take a quick wander downhill to the sandy strand, taking a dip in the water and drying off on a deck chair. Head back up to the home for a quick siesta on the sofa – keep the French doors open to let the sea breeze soothe you to sleep. When you wake up, freshen up in the swimming pool before sundowners on the terrace – the views of the sunset on the horizon leave a lasting impression. 

Bright Gems

Not far from the golden sand beaches and secret coves of Costa Blanca, this home is a slice of serenity on the Spanish coast. Thick wooden oak beams, white arched walls, and pastoral paintings give the space a traditional feel. There are some quirky stylings too: the candy pink bathroom with its jet tub feels very 50s, as do the cream sofas in the large living space. There's oodles of space for groups, though we suspect most of your time will be spent outside. Nab your spot on a sun lounger by the long pool or wander through the verdant gardens to find a stone pergola – perfect for siestas. There are several good restaurants within easy walking distance, but with such a peaceful location, we prefer to stock up on local goodies and feast while seated on the wrought-iron furniture back at the home.

This seaside haven in the heart of Javea Port is our kind of heaven. Tucked away and yet mere moments from La Grava beach, this ground floor two-bedroom home is pure boho-beach chic. Featuring a lovely, light filled open plan kitchen cum dining and living room, courtesy of floor to ceiling sliding glass doors which open out onto a cosy courtyard, this artful home boasts both style and substance. Nods to the nautical meet whitewashed walls and windows shutters while brand spanking new cabinetry meets worn wooden furniture, woven basket lights and colourful framed prints. 

Undoubtedly the star of the show, however, is the interior courtyard, with its traditional Tosca stone walls and Spanish style tiled floor – the perfect relaxing retreat come morning, noon or night. You’ll love rising early to catch the sunrise before taking your morning coffee out into the courtyard. Host cook offs and gather around the dining table for sociable meal times or head out for hours of sun-baked fun at the beach before meandering along to one of the many local seaside cafes for fresh food and uninterrupted Mediterranean views.

When you’re suitably rejuvenated from your dose of vitamin D and the sound of the gently lapping waves, head back to your secluded home for a barbecue before enjoying an evening in front of the crackling fire in the spacious living room, complete with the Spanish arches. After a sound night’s sleep, wake up to coffee on the rooftop overlooking the panoramic views of the countryside. And a little more sunshine.

If you're looking for a Spanish getaway with that all-important sea, mountain or valley view, well, we're happy to say this place has all three. There are multiple terraces, perfect for capturing the view from every angle, and topping up the tan. The beautiful living space blends traditional Spanish and contemporary styles with tasteful furnishings that will make you feel right at home. Whip up some tapas in the modern kitchen – try not to be distracted by the panoramic views from the large window – or if you prefer to cook alfresco, fire up the barbecue. After a long, lazy lunch, go for a dip in the glistening pool or explore the wildlife garden – that's what holidays are all about. There's plenty to do out and about if you fancy seeing more of the area. Pego is a family-friendly resort, while nearby Parque Natural de la Marjal de Pego-Oliva is a paradise for walkers and birders alike.

This villa caught our eye for its incredible sea views – and with five terraces and three balconies, there are plenty of spots to enjoy them from. You’ve also got a private pool and the use of a fitness centre and sauna to make your stay even more enjoyable. Inside, the contemporary living spaces offer ocean vistas and all of the bedrooms are ensuite for added privacy. The historic town of Javea, with its many shops, restaurants and tapas bars, is a 10km drive away and if you fancy eating in, your host can help arrange a cooking service so you won’t have to lift a finger.

Ocean Vistas

This spacious and well-located villa is a good option for a family or group of friends wanting to holiday in Denia, Costa Blanca. There's a fully equipped kitchen and comfortable living room area to relax in – albeit a little dated in terms of decor. Equipped for all seasons, there's a fireplace for cooler evenings and air conditioning for the summer months. We love the lawned gardens surrounding this family-friendly home – they boast superb sea and mountain views and include a large private pool and BBQ area too. While you can explore the local area on foot, we suggest a car for ease – Parc Natural del Montgó is less than 2km from the villa.

Waves & Water

Rarely veering from a black-and-white colour scheme, the interior of this apartment is solid, if a little unremarkable, when taken on its own merits. Thankfully, there are lots of outdoor amenities that bump it up the pecking order. Not only is there a covered balcony with a view of the surrounding valley, but there's also a private rooftop terrace on which to soak up some rays. Add to that a communal swimming pool back down at ground level, plus Arenal Beach only two hundred metres from the front door, and it's never been easier to bask in the Mediterranean's glorious climate.

The Knight of the Sun

Come rain or shine, sunset or sunrise, the views from this clay-red villa in the Spanish hills are unforgettable. Looking out over the Mediterranean ocean and mountainous landscape, the home's rooftop terrace is perfect for serving cocktails after long days exploring the craggy coastline and secret beaches this region is famous for. Freshly cooked dinners are best held on one of the alfresco terraces, with the upstairs balcony still enjoying glimpses of the sea. Interiors are traditional and classic, with geometric rugs and fish sculptures in the living space. On the slim chance that the weather cools, light the log-burning fire and snuggle up on the homely sofas. Too hot? It's straight into the private pool before drying off in the pine-fringed garden.

Throw open the patio doors and seamlessly move between the terrace and the sleek living space, enjoying lunch around the dining table as you feel the breeze on your skin. Pick up some fresh seafood from the fish auction every afternoon, then fire up the grill in the evenings as the sun goes down. Don't feel like cooking? Drive ten minutes into Jávea and enjoy dinner on the water – there are heaps of cafes, bars and restaurants to tickle your fancy. And, of course, a trip to Alicante isn't complete without a day at the beach – Playa Delarenal's wide sandy shore is eleven minutes by car, but we prefer the quiet cove of Platja de la Granadella, eight minutes away.

A ten-minute drive from the centre of Javea, this charming villa offers sun, relaxation and access to Spain’s beautiful Costa Blanca. Golf courses, horseriding and hiking in the hills are all on offer from your doorstep. While the furnishings aren’t the most modern – plastic chairs outside and a fairly sparse living area inside – the peaceful location is what drew us to this villa. Plus, the swimming pool is vast, there’s a charm to the living room with its traditional fireplace and the kitchen has everything you need for self-catering.  

A Twist of Time

With a stripped-back, fuss-free interior, the beauty of this home lies on the outside. If your Costa Blanca holiday is all about topping up your tan, the sun-soaked terraces will be a welcome sight – as will the private pool and Mediterranean Sea views, which stretch all the way to Ibiza on a clear day. With a whole host of outdoor activities available within five kilometres of the villa, you’ll never be short of things to do. Or, for a more laid-back day trip, enjoy a leisurely stroll through the Granadella nature reserve to a charming pebble beach, just twenty minutes away.

While some of the furnishings might be a little dated, the views from the bedrooms' balconies are fantastic.
