Its rustic interior decor is in keeping with its rural location, but given Lanzarote's fantastic year-round climate, we imagine you'll spend most of your time in the courtyard garden surrounded by tropical plants. This eco-friendly studio apartment is situated just moments away from the Las Canteras beach, making it a good base for a couple or a solo traveller. Thanks to the central location, a car is not essential here, as you’ll have plenty of shopping and dining options to choose from within walking distance. Public transport options are also excellent if you want to explore further afield. The pad may be compact in size but there’s enough space here for two guests to be comfortable, and with good internet speed, you can also catch up on work during your stay – although you'll have to set-up shop around the dining table since there isn't a desk.

When thoughts turn to food, book yourself a table at the resort's renowned brasserie or mooch into Maspalomas for the evening at one of its smart seafront tavernas.

Right on the beachfront at La Canteras, this home has a fabulous spot. Take in the fantastic Atlantic and La Canteras Beach views from this home’s sunny and dazzling whitewashed terrace. You can even spot Mount Teide in Tenerife in the distance. We love this outdoor space, it's ideal for an alfresco breakfast (whizz up a drink in the juicer to accompany some churros). Later, do some sunbathing on the sun loungers. Inside, there are more of those fabulous vistas through the large sliding doors.

In the afternoon, perhaps head to La Canteras  Beach, under a minute stroll away. It’s one of the best urban beaches in the world, and there are plenty of cafes and restaurants to sample in the vicinity too. Or, for a bit of culture, Las Palmas Cathedral is a ten-minute ride away. It’s a couple of minutes more to Casa-Museo de Colón, which documents Columbus’ voyages.

We don't throw around the term 'tropical oasis' very often, but the lush garden at this 300-year-old former farmhouse is more than deserving of the title. Brimming with mature shrubs, vibrant flowers and tall leafy trees, you'll want to spend all day, every day here basking in the Spanish sunshine and watching the palms sway. It's downright heavenly, and oodles of different seating nooks means you can follow the sun all day long. Start mornings off with an espresso on the rattan chairs, spend afternoons sprawled out on the outdoor sofa with a good book and end the evenings with a barbecue and a bottle of wine underneath the veranda.   

Even inside, you can make the most of the verdant scenery, thanks to huge floor-to-ceiling doors which open straight onto the garden. And the location is excellent, too. Nestled between Arrieta and Arrecife, you're just a ten-minute drive from gorgeous beaches, lively bars and mouth-watering eateries. Keep the botanical vibe going with a visit to the world-famous Cactus Garden – a thirteen-minute walk – or head to Playa del Jablillo, driveable in fifteen minutes, for snorkelling in the crystal clear waters.

Situated within a villa complex less than ten minutes' drive from Maspolamas, this recently renovated home will sing to those fond of contemporary design.

Large windows and glass doors bring plenty of natural light into the interior and this asset works particularly well with the wealth of reflective surfaces and stark white walls. There's a preference for minimalism in everything from the sleek kitchen to the pared-back approach to decoration, and we think the host has nailed it.

The building located in Gran Canaria, one of the most beautiful islands of the Canary archipelago, opened in July 2023 and belongs to the municipality of Telde, between the beaches of Melenara (140 metres away) and Salinetas (250 metres away). Sustainability has been taken into account and it is equipped with intelligent locks so that you can forget about the possible problems that keys can cause.

Melenara Beach is 350 metres long and 30 metres wide, with black volcanic sand and a wide range of restaurants that allow you to enjoy the rich and varied local gastronomy. Melenara is a quiet and very familiar beach, with parking and spa, with bathing service, adapted for disabled people, lifeguard service throughout the year, children's playground and blue flag.

The Apolo flat is located on the second floor, with two bedrooms, open-plan kitchen, living-dining room and bathroom. It is accessible, exterior, soundproofed, modern and bright, with capacity for three people and has all the comforts you could wish for. 

The spacious rooms are stylishly decorated with careful attention to detail and modern touches, with 1.5 metre beds, ideal for resting after a day of exploring. 

The dining room has a large bay window and offers a three-seater sofa bed, smart TV and side tables. The dining room has a table and three chairs, which can also be used for working, as the chairs are very comfortable. 

The fully equipped kitchen has a combined fridge, ceramic hob, microwave, extractor fan, complete kitchenware and small appliances, as well as a water purifier.

In the bathroom, apart from the WC, washbasin and shower tray, there is a washing machine and dryer together with a storage unit, where the hairdryer is located.
