Boasting spectacular south-facing views of the Mediterranean sea, enjoy the serene scapes come night or daytime. Balancing indoor and outdoor living couldn't be easier here as bi-fold doors bring the outside in and extend the living area out onto the patio. So relax by the pool on the day beds or perch with a book in the shade on one of the plush sofas. 

We love the clean lines and blue and white colour scheme seen throughout the villa, which offers a soothing space to relax in style. Underfloor heating carried across the main rooms during the slightly chillier months will keep your toes warm. With a prime position on the Andalusian coastline, it's actually possible to see the intense azure of the Mediterranean Sea if you step up to this home's rooftop terrace. What's most impressive about this address, however, is that this special view ranks pretty low on the list of perks.

That's to be expected when you have an outdoor space that has everything from a swimming pool, ping-pong table and a traditional stone barbecue for feeding fellow guests once tummies start to rumble. As well as that, there's an alfresco dining table on which you can enjoy the fruits of your labours, as well as a couple of peaceful balconies from which to gaze out at the rooftops of Almuñecar.

There's a lot to like inside as well. The design is fresh and contemporary, with a colour palette of soothing neutrals, no shortage of sleek surfaces and chic mid-century furnishings. You might be surprised to see the sauna given that is Spain rather than Scandinavia, but a quick sweat is an invigorating way to start the day.
