This gorgeous Granada home, eclectically furnished and boasting panoramic views of the awesome Alhambra, is both the perfect place from which to explore all that this former Moorish stronghold sprawled at the foot of the Sierra Nevada has to offer by way of culture and cuisine, and a peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle of city life. As the sun sets, you’ll want to stop for tapas and a glass of sweet local wine or make a beeline for the Albayzín's 16th-century Palacio de los Olvidados where a night of intimate flamenco dance awaits. Found on seventeen acres of land, this former mill house is now a gateway to the whitewashed town of Arcos de la Frontera. The beamed ceilings and exposed stone walls are a welcome reminder of what the home used to be, but the waterwheel in the dining room and millstream in the garden are what truly pays homage to its history. Not everyone may fall in love with the rusticness, but the house is roomy and sunny, and with two separate casitas, the whole family can have their own private space. Children will love the matura woodland garden and swimming pool, whilst adults will appreciate drinks and alfresco dining on the shaded terrace.

Amid the rugged mountains and unspoilt countryside of the Alcornocales National Park, this home is a rustic hideaway with breathtaking views. It’s also wonderfully remote and private, making this the ideal opportunity to switch off, relax in the garden and immerse yourself in the saltwater swimming pool – which can also be fenced upon request (a great option for those travelling with children). Inside, the rooms are traditional and a little dated, but filled with charm and character. Dating back to the seventeenth century, this remarkable home sits in the middle of 535 hectares of land, the majority of which are put to use growing vines, olives, wheat, oats, beet and sunflowers. 

As you can imagine, these rural surroundings make for a rather peaceful atmosphere, which is perfect for enjoying this splendid property. The interior is dominated by period features, including high ceilings, wooden beams, a traditional fireplace in the living room and a collection of heraldic decorations on the wall. 

The grand dining table next to an ornate antique sideboard will add a sense of occasion to mealtimes, but there are plenty of modern aspects that don't take themselves too seriously. The games room with equipment for ping-pong, billiards and darts is one such example, as is the beautiful swimming pool that sits just outside.

Whiling away in the Spanish sunshine will be no bother in the garden – there's a private pool and a chill-out area with a cosy hammock, while kids will enjoy the ping-pong table, trampoline, and swing set. When it comes to cooking meals, the covered barbecue area is perfect for alfresco dinners surrounded by the area’s beautiful green landscapes.

This Andalusian villa offers picturesque views of the Hurones Reservoir, the Alcornocales Natural Park, and the Sierra de Grazalema Natural Park. With a large terrace and swimming pool alongside a sundeck and alfresco dining area, there are plenty of perching places where you can relax outside. Two guests will need to share the sofa bed if you’re travelling with a group of four, and there’s not much in the way of a view from the bedroom. But for those looking to experience Seville to its fullest, this apartment is a great place from which to do so.

These make up for the fact there are no vistas from the abode itself (the outlook is mainly over other apartments), but the place is well-furnished and equipped.

When you’re not out exploring, however, the communal solarium and rooftop pool serve as a lovely spot to unwind and work on your tan.

From here, it’s just a short stroll to the Cathedral and the Alcázar, while restaurants, cafes and shops are all within walking distance. Wherever the day takes you, this apartment provides a welcoming sanctuary to relax and unwind. Complimentary toiletries are provided and children’s amenities are available on request, plus there’s a handy sofa bed for two extra guests. It’s possible you may hear some street noise throughout your stay, but this is a great option for guests in search of style, comfort and convenience.

Offering a desirable spot in the Santa Cruz neighbourhood, you'll have historic Seville right on your doorstep. Inside, it's bright and elegant with traditional shutters inviting natural light into the living area. It's worth noting that two guests will need to share the sofa bed in the living area and you won’t find enough space for six around the dining table. But the biggest draw here is the central location with sights such as the Catedral de Sevilla, Royal Alcázar and La Giralda a short walk away.

You’ll find this penthouse apartment in the heart of Seville on the historic Feria Street. The pad has everything you need to show up and start living – there’s a well-equipped kitchen and two comfortable bedrooms. The fifth guest will sleep on the mezzanine level above the living area, so it’s not the most private and due to the sloping ceilings, we think the space is better suited for a child. Outside, you’ll find a furnished terrace – the ideal spot for sundowners. Head into your local area for shops, bars and restaurants or walk a little further for attractions such as the Cathedral, Alcázar and Metropol Parasol.

Located in Seville’s El Arenal quarter, this handsome two-level apartment places you perfectly to make the most of the city’s historic sights. An easy walk from the Catedral de Sevilla, the Setas de Sevilla and the Royal Alcázar, you’ve got plenty to fill your days nearby. When you’re not out exploring, however, the home’s private sun terrace is the ideal spot to unwind and work on your tan.
