Situated in the historic centre of Alcudia, this home is close to a beach (900 metres away) while Puerto Alcudia is around 2 kilometres from this abode. If you want a refreshing dip, you don’t have to go anywhere, though, as there’s a small private pool in the courtyard garden with its palm trees and mellow stone walls. Inside there are plenty of character features, as well as a wood burner for chillier nights. A highlight, for sure, is the large main bedroom with its bank of wardrobe space – there’s plenty of room for all of your clothes, no matter how long you stay.

This sunshine yellow house in the historic town of Alcudia is the perfect family getaway. Set across four floors, there’s plenty of room for everyone. The main bedroom has a little balcony, which is the perfect place for a quiet moment at the start of the day with a cup of coffee and a book. On the top floor there is a magnificent roof terrace, with commanding views of the town, stretching down to the sea. Up here you can sunbathe in the deck chairs, or fire up the barbecue and enjoy alfresco lunches. There’s also a kids’ play area upstairs for the little ones. 

Alcudia is the historic centre of Mallorca, and you’ll be staying within the Mediaeval city walls of the Old Town. The area is rich with history and beautiful to walk around –  stroll five minutes to see 1st Century BC Roman ruins that are still being excavated today, complete with a Roman forum and theatre. When you’ve had your dose of culture, seek the sea. Port D’Alcudia can be reached in five minutes by car, where you’ll find a long sandy beach and a handful of bars. There are a handful of more remote beaches north of the town, which are reachable on foot or by car.

From the moment we pulled up outside and saw the setting, we were in love with this gorgeous stone-built home with its mesmerising views over the Mediterranean. Relax on the comfy L-shaped sofa in the stylish living room and drink them in or head to the mezzanine sitting room. Our favourite spot is the Eames-style rocking chair in the bedroom with its lovely beams. 

Outdoors is beautiful, too, and wonderfully private and secluded, thanks to its warm stone walls. Cook up a Mallorcan feast in the outdoor kitchen and enjoy it on the shaded terrace surrounded by cacti and potted palms. Then laze on the sunbeds in the Balearic sun – that's our kind of holiday. This place is absolutely perfect for families.

The location is great too – the charming town of Port de Pollença, with its restaurants and shops, as well as the fine sandy beach, is just three minutes by car, while Can Cullerassa Beach, used mainly by locals, is under 50 metres away.

Perfect for a family or group of friends, this achingly gorgeous villa offers plenty of outside space to sprawl out, unwind and bask in the Alcúdia sun. Table tennis will keep the kids entertained, while grown-ups sit back and relax with a glass of wine at the outside bar area, fitted with a brick-built fireplace. Later, gather the group as you nibble tasty tapas in the beautiful covered dining area. 

Stepping inside, you'll find wooden ceiling beams and stone archways that keep things reassuringly rustic. There's a homey feel in the blue colour scheme and stylish furnishings that will soon have you feeling at ease, while the modern kitchen will make breakfast a breeze.

When it's time to head out, pack your seaside essentials and hit the beach – you're a short stroll from Bonaire's sandy beaches and sparkling marina. There's a selection of fine dining restaurants and bars dotted along the waterfront to seek out.

This home caught our eye with its mountain views and beautiful location. Nestled in the countryside of Cielo de Bonaire, there’s plenty to explore here. From hiking trails and nearby beaches to the bustling heart of Alcúdia, this is a great option for families. You will need a car to get around, but free private parking is available. There is also a private pool and plenty of chill out spots to relax both inside and out. The main bedroom comes with an en-suite bathroom and a private balcony, while the room with bunk beds is a sweet option for kids. 

Light of Nature

A former fisherman's house, this waterside villa is now a modern home for romantic couples and small groups of friends and family looking for a relaxing retreat. Make a beeline straight for the lower-floor terrace, and take in the wide, sweeping views of the Mediterranean Sea and Cap de Formentor – trust us, you'll be blown away. 

Left completely open, so you can watch the waves lap up against the shore while enjoying morning coffees and evening aperitifs, it's a magical spot to unwind. Fully furnished with a dining table that comfortably seats the entire group and an inviting lounge area, this one will be hard to leave. Elsewhere, white, polished wood and a grey colour palette create chic, minimalist interiors. 

After a gentle start, pack your seaside essentials and take the thirteen-minute stroll to the nearest beach at Platja Es Morer Vermell. Spend hot afternoons swimming in the sea and sunbathing on the soft sand. End the day with a drink in the charming town of Alcúdia, just ten minutes away by car.

This stunning home has been designed from the ground up to make the most of its privileged position. Practically the entire front of the house is taken up with vast picture windows, a poolside terrace and inviting balconies, ensuring you're able to appreciate the panoramas wherever you decide to make yourself comfortable. 

An open layout on the entrance level ensures plenty of space for your party to gather together without feeling like you're on top of one another. At the same time, sliding doors offer effortless access to those breathtaking balconies and outdoor seating areas.

Four en-suite bedrooms are split across the entrance and lower levels, offering either an elevated position that will see you wake up to the morning sun glinting off the sea or seamless access to the poolside loungers for the ultimate morning coffee by the water's edge. Two of the bedrooms even offer walk-in wardrobes, so you can pack for every possible eventuality. 

Away from the villa, Alcúdia's Old Town is just a short drive away. Here, you'll find colourful streets dotted with family-owned restaurants and independent boutiques, encircled by medieval walls. Escape to the beautiful Balearics with a stay in this contemporary villa. Based right on the water, in the affluent Mal Pas neighbourhood, you’ve got direct beach access to Sant Pere and Sant Joan. Here you’ll find white sands, turquoise seas that are perfect for snorkelling and rustic beach bars serving ice-cold beers. The villa is a real head-turner, with angular shapes, and sightlines straight through the living area to the ocean and mountains. Interiors are modern with design-forward furniture in neutral tones and a white gloss kitchen, but the exposed blonde stone gives a nod to traditional Mallorcan architecture. The oh-so-chic pool area has us wanting to break out the bikini right away, and there couldn’t be a dreamier place to top up the tan than the roof terrace, with its shimmering vista. Be the first to hit the beach and the last to leave, with a quick break for lunch on the shady terrace. Come sundown, the roof terrace beckons, for sangria and nibbles.

If it’s a fuss-free getaway you’re after, then look no further than this laidback villa in the north of Mallorca. Inside, it’s bright white and minimalist with an open-plan living space, a fully-equipped kitchen and three comfortable bedrooms guaranteeing a blissful sleep night after night.

If you need some respite from the sun, there’s even a games room here, providing an easy way to while away the hours.

An immaculate contemporary dream, located just 100 metres from the beach, this vibrant home welcomes you in and wraps you up in a colourful hug. The interiors are a modern masterpiece, with each room tastefully themed and awash with character – it so perfectly epitomises bold and beautiful. Feature clocks are peppered throughout the villa, but time won’t fly here – quite the opposite, in this peaceful home. 

Our favourite spot, although hard to choose with so much to love here, is the ensuite to the main bedroom. Step down into your jetted tub, sunken into the floor, and all you'll need is a glass of bubbles for ultimate relaxation. If you are ready for a quiet night in, the electric fire will set the ambience perfectly as you sink into your deep comfortable sofa. You’re guaranteed a restful night's sleep with relaxation at the core of this villa. 

In the morning, sip your coffee on your private balcony, overlooking the manicured gardens and picturesque sea. Spend your days relaxing by your private pool and fire up the barbecue under the olive tree for a little lunch alfresco. If you fancy venturing into the local area, meander through the old walled town of Alcudia for a touch of traditional Spain. With restaurants, bars and shops all within walking distance, spending days at the beach will be one of many options.

This villa has everything you need for a luxurious stay on the Mallorcan coast. The location is fantastic – two beaches are easily reached on foot, while historic Alcúdia is just 2 kilometres away – but that's not the only thing that caught our eye. Back home, there's an inviting swimming pool, an eight-seater Jacuzzi, and an array of sun-kissed terraces to take advantage of. Preparing dinner is a breeze in the outdoor kitchen, or, for the ultimate indulgence, hire a private chef to do all the cooking for you. There's also plenty of space here for large groups, with four people sleeping in a guest house – though it does cost a fee to use.

You’ll love opening the doors and stepping onto the balcony – this is a wonderful spot to watch the sunrise with your morning coffee or enjoy an afternoon siesta in the shade. 

From here you can walk to the beach, amble along the Pine Walk and make a stop in any of the cafés, restaurants or bars along this stretch of coastline – it’s only a ten–minute walk into the centre. Plus the nearest supermarket and bakery are only a five–minute walk away. 

With your basket full of supplies make your way home to watch the sunset across the horizon. We won’t be surprised if the balcony becomes your favourite place to eat on the island.

While the rustic decor may not be to everyone’s taste, there's still plenty to shout about, including a well-kept garden, a private pool, and a large, covered terrace. Your host is on hand to help you get the most out of your stay, from booking excursions to arranging a private chef. Location-wise, you’re just a five-minute drive from the beach and ten minutes from the market town of Sa Pobla.

Casa de Música

This family-friendly apartment in Alcanada is a great choice if you want to be within walking distance of a sandy beach. It's on the first floor with no lift access – so may not be suitable for individuals with reduced mobility. All full occupancy, the open-plan living area might feel a little cramped but the superb sea views make up for this  – especially from the private terrace. We think the kitchen is better suited to light meals but there are a number of restaurants and cafes to visit nearby. We recommend a car for ease of exploring – the historical cities of Pollentia and Alcudia are a short drive away.

On the beautiful northern coast of Majorca, surrounded by sparkling blue ocean, this stylish villa is the ideal place from which to immerse yourself in the gorgeous scenery of Alcudia. Offering a beautiful terrace with plenty of comfy seating, you'll be spoilt for choice when it comes to deciding where to enjoy your breakfast each morning. Wherever you choose, you'll always be guaranteed a spectacular view of the Mediterranean Sea. 

Indoors, you have everything you need to feel right at home, with sumptuous sofas and a contemporary kitchen and dining room that's perfect for entertaining. Sliding glass doors give way to an infinity pool  – start the day with an invigorating swim, or if you'd prefer the sea, it's quite literally outside your front door, just over the rocky shoreline. Wander a little further and you'll encounter pristine sandy beaches and the picturesque Bonaire Marin. Pack a picnic to eat on the sand or head to one of the nearby restaurants for a tasty lunch. 

Speaking of food, you'll have your own barbecue here, complete with an outdoor dining set accessible from the kitchen. We highly recommend a night in, cooking fresh seafood on the barbecue and eating alfresco in the cool summer breeze. Post-dinner, have some fun with the kids in the lower-ground garden or head up to the balcony to watch the sky change colour from a comfy sun lounger. 

The perfect way to end a perfect evening? A long soak in the bathtub, looking out over the water, with a glass of wine in hand.

Thalassophile's Sanctum

Just a five-minute drive from Pollença, this villa makes for a handy base. The white sand of Cala San Vincente is just fifteen minutes away, as are lively Alcúdia and Port de Pollença. Aside from its great location, this home also has size on its side – there’s heaps of room for just two guests. The decor is traditional, so it won’t appeal to everyone, but the outside space, with its lovely view, private pool, and covered terrace, surely will. 

The Mural

You can pad barefoot down to the sea right from this villa’s terrace. A swimming pier with a ladder into the crystal-clear Mediterranean awaits just beyond the home’s boundary. If you fancy sampling some of the local cuisine and nightlife, head into the buzzing beach town of Alcudia, a 2km walk along the waterfront. 

This place has been designed with days outside in mind, with several terraces and balconies to choose from. Catch the sun on a lounger on the first-floor balcony, or indulge in a long lunch on the lower terrace with a view of the sea (there’s a rustic-style barrel barbecue at the side of the villa). We love the twisting old olive trees, palms and cacti that fill the garden.

Inside, the living room is, quite simply, massive. The tiled floor and crisp white walls keep things cool in the heat of the day, while sunlight streams in through big windows and glass doors. The chef of the group can enjoy plenty of prep space in the modern kitchen, thanks to a central island.
