Nestled in the idyllic municipality of Selva, this home away from home boasts its own private pool and a terrace where you can enjoy a good barbecue and a chinwag on the sofa in the evening. You'll enjoy the seamless blend of the modern with the traditional in this home, as you sit by the pool or go for a morning dip in the cool waters, or sink into the comfy sofas indoors, surrounded by the vibrant art that adorns the house. For those hoping to work remotely, you'll be able to sit at the breakfast bar or dining table with a laptop for a comfy working experience. 

It's an easy drive down to Alcudia Bay, but why would you need to when you can sunbathe and swim at home? Then again, the stylish and modern kitchen may be a treat when you're in the mood to cook up a storm, but there's nothing quite like trying something new in a local restaurant, especially by the sandy beaches and glittering sea. Golf lovers will be within easy reach of courses, and you'll easily spend hours exploring the nearby towns, popping into every traditional shop and looking in the windows of every cafe. Kids will love the nearby beaches and it's well worth exploring the local area. But at this home, you'll know that a day in isn't a day wasted.

Romanesque Summertime

Welcome to inland Mallorca, the rural heart of the island, where dry stone walls and peaceful villages still prevail. In the sleepy village of Moscari, you may not find a great deal of restaurants, but fifteen minutes by car is the busy little town of Inca – home to shops and eateries – and twenty-five minutes is the picturesque Alcudia coast.

What you will find, however, is this cosy renovated farm with stunning views across rolling countryside. Surrounded by towering trees and drenched in sunlight, you'll have private grounds to explore, with lawns and patios, a dazzling pool and a wildlife garden. We can spend all day out on the terrace, sipping cocktails on the poolside lounge chairs, playing ping-pong under the pergola and dining alfresco as the sun goes down. Inside, it's a mix of rustic chic and sparkling new, with character touches like exposed stone walls and vaulted ceilings set alongside a sleek contemporary kitchen that makes cooking up a storm a breeze. All the spaces are filled with light and the bedrooms are super comfortable – we think a family or group of friends would be more than happy to call this place home.

Alesso

For those in the know, Mallorca is a hiking and biking paradise. So adventurous types are sure to appreciate this apartment's proximity to stunning landscapes and scenic trails surrounding the sleepy pueblo of Campanet. In contrast, those in search of an authentic stay surrounded by the beauty of northern Mallorca will find joy in its slow pace of life as you wander its meandering streets and stock up on essentials at its weekly Tuesday market.

Whatever your preference, early risers will be rewarded with jaw-dropping views over the tree-lined peaks bathed in the golden morning light. Plot your route over coffee on the private balcony before setting off on lung-busting mountain ascents and high-speed downhill freewheeling. Fresh from a morning in the mountains, enjoy feasting on a homemade meal in the shade of the covered dining area before a post-lunch siesta by the shared pool. 

After an action-packed day, we understand if you don't feel like cooking dinner (despite the well-equipped kitchen). Campanet offers an enticing array of eateries within walking distance of the apartment. Meanwhile, good road links mean the coastal resorts of Alcúdia and Pollença are within easy reach. Alternatively, make your way to Búger for traditional Mallorcan tapas in yet more spectacular mountain surroundings.

Yellow Jersey

At the foot of the Sierra de Tramuntana mountain range, close to natural hot springs and the glorious Mallorcan coast, this rustic villa is perfectly placed in the heart of Campanet. Boasting a private pool surrounded by sun loungers, you can spend your mornings swimming, reading and sipping coffee, enveloped in gorgeous greenery. 

If you do ever get out of the garden, you've got some of Mallorca's most beautiful scenery at your feet. The beach of Puerto Alcudia is just a short drive away, which offers azure ocean and golden sand dotted with palm trees. If you'd rather stay closer to home, stroll through the village and explore the variety of cafes, traditional restaurants and shops that call it home. 

At the end of a busy day, nothing beats coming back to a home-cooked meal. Put your culinary skills to the test and have a go at recreating some local dishes on the barbecue, then gather around the outdoor dining table to tuck in alfresco. As daylight turns to darkness, go inside to cuddle up by the open fireplace and enjoy a glass of wine.

The Tree of Life

Located in the historic inland town of Sa Pobla, this stunning Mallorcan villa offers a private and stylishly curated space to sit back and relax. Drop off your bags, and make a beeline for the sumptuous poolside terrace – whether you're taking a dip in the pool, bathing on the sun loungers, or enjoying a languorous lunch in the shade (barbecue provided), it's an ideal spot. 

For the interiors, exposed brick, wood fixtures and tiled floors are expertly blended with contemporary furnishings to create an authentic Spanish feel to the home, without sacrificing modern comfort. We love the pastel hues and pops of colour around the villa, especially in the three bright bedrooms. 

There'll be no trouble filling your days here, as the local area provides a hub of activity right on your doorstep. There's quaint cobbled streets and squares lined with shops, bars, and restaurants, but the town remains broadly untouched by tourism, so you'll experience a real authenticity here. You can also make the short drive to the sandy beaches at Alcudia, for a change of scenery.

Found in the quiet suburbs of Mallorca – near the ancient town of Pollensa – this home is peace and tranquillity wrapped in a charming bow. Find yourself at home under the exposed wooden beams as you stroll across terracotta tiles. Where the kitchen and bedrooms are cosy, the living space is striking with high ceilings and a flowing, open layout that’s amply lit by the natural light streaming in through the large double doors. Doors that happen to lead out into the real highlight of this home – the garden. 

Sit in the shade of the giant palm, and take a dip in the private swimming pool when the day gets a little hot. The Dancing Muse

This beautiful villa is in the heart of Caimari in the foothills of the Tramuntana Mountains. It’s a fabulous holiday home for a peaceful family escape, in an excellent spot for cycling. The garden is spread between different terraces, from which you can admire views of the surrounding landscape. We love the private pool and the Balinese daybeds around it, as well as the pergola with a shaded dining table – there’s a barbecue and fire pit, too. The home is filled with art and sculptures – there’s something to admire at every turn.
