Set just back from Cala Esmeralda beach (350 metres away), this home provides a practical base from which to explore the island. It’s also just a ten-minute walk to the restaurants, bars and shops of Cala D’Or, with golf courses and beautiful coves within driving distance. Your host can also arrange airport transfers – a great option for those in search of total relaxation without needing to drive. The rooms are basic and the outdoor space may not be suitable for those with reduced mobility, but the location is ideal for those looking to spend their days adventuring along the coast.

Located on a quiet residential street, this home is perfectly located to reach the amenities including shops and restaurants in Cala D’Or’s centre. Plus, with two sandy beaches both reachable within just seven minutes on foot, you can spend your days splashing in the waves, building sandcastles, or simply relaxing as you enjoy the views and soothing soundscape. 

Start your mornings with a glass of jugo de naranja on the sun-bathed balcony as you admire the incredible views stretching out to the ocean. Then head to the beach or spend leisurely hours lounging in the sunshine before cooling off in the waters of your private swimming pool. When you need a moment of shade, why not sit back with a good book on the comfortable outdoor seating under the shaded pergola?

In the evening, sliding doors connect the kitchen to a small porch with a dining table creating the perfect area to enjoy a meal of Spanish tapas. With some homes it's hard to know where to start, but with this place in Cala d'Or there's a very obvious beginning point. The beach. Set so close to the gorgeous Cala Petita that all you have to do is stroll down the garden path and step out of the gate to feel the warm sand between toes, it overlooks this pretty little inlet – the crystal-clear water constantly tempting you from below. With one of the best beach views we've seen, this beautiful spot is one of our favourites. 

Screened from its neighbours by lush hedges and fragrant pine trees, you'll feel tucked away here, with a fabulous view from the private terrace. The home itself is as pretty as a picture, with green shutters and a traditional covered porch. Inside, high ceilings, all-white walls and plenty of curves and arches provide the backdrop, while comfy, stylish furnishings and nautical artwork make for a homey feel. The living room is dominated by a gorgeous fireplace and there's a covered dining space with huge doors opening to the sunny terrace. Cooking at home will be a pleasure in the well kitted-out kitchen, but it's just a few minutes' walk to the nearby shops and restaurants.

Perfect for a family or a great choice for a multigenerational stay, two rooms are well suited to children, with enough bathrooms to prevent any queues for the shower. And if you're the kind of person who likes to begin the day with a swim, nothing could be more invigorating than a sea dip before breakfast.

This farmhouse has been renovated in such a way that it has retained its unique rural character while still getting to call itself a holiday home fit for the twenty-first century. Mallorquin both within and without, it’s built in the classic blonde stone of the area and filled with traditional dark wood furnishings, wrought iron beds and classic Mediterranean tiled floors. Spend your days lazing by the pleasingly large pool, enjoying long lunches on the covered terrace, and exploring some of the gorgeous local beaches — the sands of Cala D’Or are just 13 minutes away by car. You’ll find this villa situated in Portocolom, just a short walk from two sandy coves and a simple beach bar. Amenities like shops, a chemist and restaurants cluster around the main harbour, around 2 kilometres away. The home itself is simple in style but comfortable enough for a long stay. If you have the little ones in tow, there are retractable gates at both the top and bottom of the stairs and the swimming pool can be fenced. We loved the terrace for alfresco dining and the balcony was our favourite spot for a sundowner.

With several fantastic places to catch the sun, including by the large pool and on one of the terrace areas, this home is the perfect escape for a group of friends or an extended family. With an ensuite for every room and all that space, you won't encroach on one another, while still enjoying ample opportunity to come together to dine and connect. We especially like the shaded al fresco area and the Mediterranean garden. You're also a short drive away from the beach – perfect for a day trip.

The home is spread over two floors and includes a spacious open-plan kitchen where you can get a real flavour of the local produce. There's a sauna and a jacuzzi to unwind in, as well as a private swimming pool in the well-tended gardens surrounding this home. We love the large terrace area complete with BBQ facilities – fire it up for some alfresco dining in the afternoon. We suggest a car for ease if you want to explore the area – the home is five miles from the gold stone architecture of Santanyí city.

Laid-back and unfussy Mallorca allows you to explore as much or little as you wish.

This traditional villa boasts a private swimming pool surrounded by a pretty garden, yet it's only a short walk from one of Mallorca's nicest cove beaches. Just ten minutes on foot from Cala Sa Nau and a five-minute drive from Cala d'Or, you couldn't ask for a better spot to explore the island – but when you're not out and about, there's plenty to enjoy back home, too. We're talking sun-kissed terraces, a built-in barbecue and plenty of spots to sprawl out in the rays. The rustic interiors won't appeal to everyone – in particular, the bathrooms are somewhat dated – but the single-level layout will suit guests who struggle with stairs.

The rural location means there’s not much to do in the surrounding area, but you’re a short drive from the small town of Santanyí, home to shops and laidback restaurants. Plus, Santanyí Beach is around 8 kilometres away.

This villa is everything we want from a place in the southeast of Mallorca. Step-free access and three downstairs bedrooms mean it’s suitable for those with limited mobility, while the upstairs bedroom has its own en-suite and balcony – perfect for those who’d like some privacy. You’ll notice holiday knick-knacks dotted about, which may not be to everyone’s taste, but we think they’re charming. It’s the outside space that really steals the show – we couldn’t get enough of the private pool and summer kitchen. Most importantly, there’s a sandy beach 700 metres away and Caló del Moro is easily reached by car.

With a hilltop position, this home has wonderful garden, countryside or sea views from almost every room. There’s a private pool surrounded by Mediterranean plants or enjoy an alfresco meal on one of the covered terraces. The décor inside is on the traditional side, but we love that all of the bedrooms open out onto the terrace or balcony. When you are ready to explore the area, you’ll find an array of restaurants, bars and shops in Portocolom, as well as beaches such as Cala Marcal.

If you happen to be a golf lover, this home makes a great choice thanks to its proximity to Golf Vall d’Or. It’s also just a short drive to Portocolom, with the island’s beautiful beaches also within easy reach. And while there’s plenty to explore in the surroundings, this home offers a simple setting to relax and unwind. There’s a private pool, garden and terrace with views stretching far across the coast. Inside, the rooms are traditional and a little dated, but we think most of your time will be spent outdoors – savouring the magic of island living.

Cool off with a quick dip, before firing up the barbecue and preparing some fresh local seafood (perhaps picked up from the market in Felanitx).

The villa offers easy access to the quaint boutiques and slow-going atmosphere of charming Porto Colom, less than five minutes' walk away. Plus, it's only a four-minute drive from the shallow waters and golden sands of Cala Marçal Beach for fun-filled family days out – that's if you can peel yourself away from this slice of paradise.

Floating In the Sunshine

It’s rare that you can walk from a country farmhouse to the beach, but this Mallorcan villa has it all. Located in the beautiful Cala Mondragó, you’ll be surrounded by the untouched nature of Mallorca. Just a few minutes walk from some of the most prestigious beaches on the east coast, you could easily go without a car here, though we do recommend renting one if you’re keen to explore other resorts like Cala D'or. At home, you’ll have a private pool, barbecue area and plenty of outdoor seating from which to soak up the glorious sunshine. 
 


Unspoiled Beauty

An idyllic retreat secluded away in the Mallorcan countryside – this traditional villa is perfect for those seeking a tranquil getaway, far from the madding crowd. Golf enthusiasts will appreciate its easy access to the nearby village's course, whilst sun-seekers can take their pick from the poolside loungers or head to the nearby beaches for a change of scenery – they're under a fifteen-minute drive away. 

Inside the traditional stone façade, the country-style interiors are in keeping with its authentic 1940s Mallorcan origins. Our favourite spot in the home is undoubtedly the main bedroom – you're bound to feel like royalty with its red crimson colour scheme and beautiful balcony. That's not to say guests in the other rooms will feel hard done by, far from it. Each has a spectacular view over the surrounding countryside, and the majority also have their own en-suite bathrooms.

The grounds offer a picturesque playground for children and adults alike. In addition to the pool, you'll find a ping pong table for outdoor tournaments, while a nearby orange grove scents the air. After a day under the Spanish sun, we can think of nothing better than relaxing in the outdoor dining area as dinner sizzles away on the built-in brick barbecue.

Experience an authentic taste of Mallorca with a stay at this charming four-bedroom home in Santanyí. Nestled within the pastoral landscape of the island's southeast, the quaint town of Santanyí boasts traditional Balearic charm in a convenient location just minutes away from the region's stunning coastline. Lose yourself in the old town's medieval cobblestone alleyways, lined with caramel-hued buildings crafted from locally quarried marès sandstone. On Wednesdays and Saturdays, visit the market to stock up on fresh produce, artisan crafts and local wine.

Set across three levels, this home celebrates its historic location, with sun terraces perched on every floor. Here, you can marvel at sweeping rooftop views, best enjoyed with a glass of wine at sunset. Inside, the design is airy and modern. The ground floor offers a spacious dining room, fully-fitted kitchen and an adjoining sun-drenched patio bordered by tall walls. We love the patio's little outdoor swimming pool, where privacy is guaranteed. Spend leisurely days paddling here, cooling off from the Mediterranean sun. The cosy lounge on the first floor completes the ample shared spaces. With three double bedrooms and one twin room, this home can accommodate eight guests comfortably.
