We adore the cosy lounge – it's the perfect spot to sprawl out for an afternoon siesta – while the country-style kitchen has everything you'll need to whip up a tasty meal of tapas or paella.

Seeing as Mallorca is known for its gorgeous weather, it should come as no surprise that the garden is our favourite bit. Fuschia-coloured bougainvillaea climbs up the stone walls and comfy lounge chairs invite you to take advantage of the endless sunshine. Days here are best spent cooling off in the sparkling pool and lounging underneath the shady umbrellas when you need a break from the rays. Come dinnertime, fire up the barbecue and tuck into an alfresco feast at the outdoor table, finishing the evening with cocktails as the sun goes down.

Location-wise, sleepy Campanet is best known for its authentic, local spirit. It's not a resort town, so there are only a few restaurants, bars and cafes to discover, but we love the beautiful architecture and atmosphere. There's also some good hiking nearby, but for a bit more buzz, Alcúdia and its sandy beach are a twenty-minute drive away.

Stepping onto the streets of Selva, you’ll find everything you could need is within walking distance. There’s a lovely weekly market here where you can buy fresh local produce. And when you want to explore further afield, there's easy access to the mountains where you can hike and cycle, or spend slow days at the beach in Alcúdia – just a thirty–minute drive away.

This luxury home has not one but two fabulous terraces. One has a barbecue and jacuzzi – the other, the top terrace, our favourite space, has a saltwater pool and beautiful views of fields, forests and the town. After a dip, relax on the round day bed with a glass of something chilled.

Inside is no less impressive – the stunning double-height living space with its floor-to-ceiling glazing is a fantastic place to entertain your family and friends. At night, lit by a modern twinkly chandelier, it’s very atmospheric. The vistas from the upstairs lounge are breathtaking, too, and we adore the atrium with its 200-year-old olive tree – it’s a real talking point and connects the home with the area's rural history. Choose a book from the shelves here, take a seat and truly unwind. And as for the elegant bedrooms, they all have en-suites.

Located in charming Búger, this family-friendly, quiet village in central - northern Mallorca has a range of amenities, such as a grocery shop and a few restaurants. A twenty-minute drive, on the other hand, will take you to some wonderful beaches, such as Puerto de Alcudia and Can Picafort.



Olive Branches

The scene is set before you even walk inside this home. The pillared approach cuts through an expanse of land that's all yours for the taking as the mountains quietly observe from beyond. The entrance hall is as grand as you'd expect, the staircase snaking upstairs towards the bedrooms, each with its own en suite featuring a jacuzzi bath. The pool below looks enticing from the cornered balcony as you absorb the views across the countryside. Pollensa isn’t far from here, with its beaches and historical town, or there’s mountainous terrain for those who enjoy an energetic hike. After a day of activity, this villa’s luxuries are undoubtedly welcome, especially the hydro-massage showers. Why not continue the indulgent ambiance and arrange someone else to cook your evening meal? The only finger you’ll be lifting will be around a glass of effervescent Cava as you bring it to your lips.

What was once a Majorcan farmhouse is now a villa that combines rustic features with modern convenience and a fantastic outdoor space. There is plenty of room here to sprawl out in the sun, while the alfresco dining area is perfect for cocktails and tapas. The two twin rooms can be turned into doubles here, meaning you can enjoy flexible sleeping arrangements – perfect if you're a group of couples. The home is a little remote – the town is three kilometres away, the nearest beach twenty – but who doesn't want a bit of seclusion on holiday?

Casa Zapató

Located in the historic inland town of Sa Pobla, this stunning Mallorcan villa offers a private and stylishly curated space to sit back and relax. Drop off your bags, and make a beeline for the sumptuous poolside terrace – whether you're taking a dip in the pool, bathing on the sun loungers, or enjoying a languorous lunch in the shade (barbecue provided), it's an ideal spot. 

For the interiors, exposed brick, wood fixtures and tiled floors are expertly blended with contemporary furnishings to create an authentic Spanish feel to the home, without sacrificing modern comfort. We love the pastel hues and pops of colour around the villa, especially in the three bright bedrooms. 

There'll be no trouble filling your days here, as the local area provides a hub of activity right on your doorstep. There's quaint cobbled streets and squares lined with shops, bars, and restaurants, but the town remains broadly untouched by tourism, so you'll experience a real authenticity here. You can also make the short drive to the sandy beaches at Alcudia, for a change of scenery. 

Pocket of Sunshine

If this home’s gorgeous surroundings don’t pique your interest, we’re not sure what will. Sitting among lush citrus groves and boasting sweeping views of the Tramuntana Mountains, this place has ‘rural escape’ written all over it. That’s not to say it’s totally out of the way though – the village of Búger is within easy reach, not to mention some of the island’s best beaches are just a twenty-minute drive away. Of course, not everyone will love the traditional design features here, but even if they’re not your cup of tea, there's plenty else to like.
